What this covers

Three things. Designing the system: walking your space, identifying blind spots and entry points, and specifying the right camera types and placement instead of a one-size package. Installing it: cabling, mounting, network integration, and storage configured properly the first time. And keeping it running: monitoring system health, managing storage and retention, and making sure footage is actually accessible when you need it, not buried in a dead hard drive.

We're honest about scope too. Not every business needs a dozen cameras and a monitoring contract. Some need four cameras on the entrances and a phone app. We size the system to the risk, not to what's easiest to sell.

How it works

01

Site assessment

We walk your space, note entry points, blind spots, and lighting conditions, and talk through what you actually need to see and why. This shapes the whole design.

02

System design

Camera types, placement, storage capacity, and retention period specified based on the assessment, with real pricing before anything is ordered.

03

Installation

Cameras mounted, cabled, and integrated with your network. DVR/NVR or cloud storage configured. Everything tested before we call it done.

04

Remote access setup

Mobile and desktop access configured so you and anyone else who needs it can view live feeds and footage from anywhere.

05

Ongoing monitoring and maintenance

We check system health, manage storage, update firmware, and fix issues before they turn into a gap in your coverage.

Who this is for

Retail shops and galleries that need eyes on entrances and merchandise. Offices and studios that want a record of who comes and goes. Businesses that already have cameras installed by someone else and have no idea if they're actually working or being watched. All common across NYC small businesses, and all worth a straight assessment instead of a sales pitch.

What happens when CCTV is done badly

Cameras pointed at the wrong angle, missing the one entrance that matters. Footage that's technically recording but never gets reviewed because nobody set up remote access. Storage that quietly fills up and starts overwriting the exact days you'd want to pull footage from. A system installed once and never checked again until something goes wrong and it turns out half the cameras stopped working months ago.

Common questions

How many cameras does my business actually need?

Depends on your layout, entry points, and what you're trying to protect. A single retail storefront might need four to six cameras. A larger office or gallery could need more. We walk the space with you and design around actual blind spots, not a generic package.

Can I view footage remotely?

Yes. Live feeds and recorded footage are available from your phone, tablet, or computer, from anywhere with an internet connection. You can also set up alerts for motion or specific zones.

How long is footage stored?

That's your call. Retention periods typically range from two weeks to 90 days depending on storage capacity and how you plan to use the footage. We help you pick a retention window that fits your budget and insurance requirements.

We already have cameras installed. Can you take over managing them?

Often yes. We evaluate your existing system first. If it's solid, we take over monitoring and maintenance. If it's outdated or unreliable, we tell you honestly and recommend what to replace instead of ripping out everything by default.

Do I need to worry about privacy or legal requirements for cameras?

There are general rules around where cameras can point and how footage can be used, and they vary by situation. We can flag common issues during setup, but for anything specific to your business you should confirm with a lawyer.
